We understand that contemplating on repairing your home's foundation isn't generally so invigorating as redesigning your lounge room or kitchen. Despite how frequently it is disregarded, ensuring the stability and security of your establishment should be a first concern for each mortgage holder.
Some signs that your home’s foundation needs repairs are:
Interior or external wall cracks.
Floors that are uneven or cracked.
After heavy rainfall, there is water in the basement.
A crack in your foundation can lead to large problems. Interior/exterior cracks and water in your basement are some of the first signs of need of repair. If the crack is unattended, it can increase in size with Canadian freezing and thawing. If the crack becomes large enough, a section of wall may need to be replaced.
Here are some signs that your home’s foundation needs repairs:
Interior or external wall cracks.
Floors that are uneven or cracked.
After heavy rainfall, there is water in the basement.
A white powder on your foundation walls (efflorescence).
Based off of the signs of a crack in your foundation, we excavate the suspected area to expose the crack. Once the crack is fully exposed, we chip away along the crack to reveal how far into the foundation the crack extends.
After the depth of the crack is fully revealed, it is cleaned and prepared for the repair compound. Using non-shrink grout, the crack is filled in and smoothed to the foundation’s surface.

A waterproofed foundation is important for keeping a dry basement and a strong foundation for your home. Depending on where you live you may experience: excessive soil saturation, a high water table, or poor water drainage. Without the proper attention, your foundation walls can deteriorate over time.
Here are some signs that your home’s foundation needs waterproofing:
Musty odour and damp air.
Mould.
Bowed walls.
Watermarks.
A white powder on your foundation walls (efflorescence).
We apply a waterproofing coating along the wall. Applied to strengthen repairs and have a waterproofed and breathable protective layer.
The next layer in the process is a waterproofing membrane fastened to the wall with a terminal strip creating a seal on the membrane. This directs any water to the weeping tile along the footing. The weeping tile is inspected and replaced if needed.
Upon backfill, insulation is installed vertically along the membrane and horizontally above the weeping tile. This allows your foundation to remain warm and dry, and allows water to flow in your weeping tile.

Sump Pits and Sump Pumps are necessary for discharging water away from your foundation. Whether your home has a high water table, is at the bottom of a hill, or has poor water drainage, a Sump Pump can help save your basement.
Signs that your basement needs a Sump Pit and working Sump Pump are:
Cracks in your basement floor.
Cracks and water leaking between basement floor and wall.
Damp floors and walls (finished basement).
Flooding in your basement.
If there is no existing Sump Pit, one is chipped out and dug out in your basement floor. A connecting weeping tile is installed connecting the outside weeping tile to the Sump Pit via under the footing of the foundation. If there is an inside drainage system, that is connected as well.
Once the Sump Pit is set up, the sump pump is installed with a check valve and plumbing along the wall to prevent any tripping hazards. The plumbing extends through your foundation above ground level and discharges the water away from the foundation.

Form Tubes are essential for supporting structural integrity. With a stabilized base and a column of concrete (buried underground), you can support a lot of weight for your own customized project.
Here are some examples of projects that require Form Tubes:
Front steps (concrete).
Decks/Porches.
Fences.
Additions.
Properties on slopes/located by lakes or rivers.
Depending on the project, a single hole may be dug per form tube or a large area may be excavated for many. Once the desired depth has been reached for the Form Tube and base, the base is installed flat, level, and in the correct spot.
The Form Tube is then attached to the base and reconfirmed to be in the correct position for the structure it will be supporting. Once confirmed, the Form Tube is backfilled on the outside of the tube while constantly maintaining its upright level position.
After all Form Tubes are in place, concrete is poured into the form tubes. Rebar, deck foot post saddles, and other materials can be installed during the pour upon request.
Excavate, install, and pour a new
Form Tube with stabilizing base.
